Do you get many of these? --> "Why didn't you answer my question, Dr. Adorable?! It was a great one! You must hate me on a personal level! Now I hate you too!"
(( I do read every question I get, but one of the downsides to having a popular ask blog is that there is just no way to answer every reasonable question, let alone the unreasonable ones. I currently have 792 messages in my in-box, and that’s after pruning away the duplicates of already answered or no-longer-applicable questions, the worst of the haters and trolls, and the just-plain-nonsensical messages. The other side of that is that I get to cherry-pick the messages I think will be most entertaining for my audience and/or fun for me to answer.
If you have sent in a question that I haven’t answered yet, it’s very likely because 1) I’m saving it for later, 2) I haven’t figured out how to answer it yet, or 3) there’s too much low-hanging fruit to tempt me with, first.
By all means, though, keep sending in questions! I do appreciate getting them, and I never know just what will inspire me. :D
